Gontougo Leaders

A training pathway in leadership, project management and local governance for young people and women who want to move their community forward.

In preparation

The challenge

Tanda’s associations, groups and cooperatives often lack management and planning tools. Too few young people and women hold positions of responsibility in them.

Why it matters

A project only lasts if it is led locally. Training those who drive community life is the most lasting investment.

Our ambition

Bring forward a new generation of leaders able to drive Tanda’s development.

  • A practical pathway in leadership, project management and governance.
  • Support on a real project.
  • A peer-support network among participants.

Who benefits

Young people, women and leaders of associations, groups and cooperatives.

What we will do

  • Needs assessment.
  • Sessions led by qualified trainers.
  • Follow-up after the training.
  • A showcase of completed projects.

Expected results

  • Leaders trained and supported.
  • Local projects delivered.
  • Stronger organisations.

How we will measure impact

  • Participants trained, including women and young people.
  • Projects carried out after the training.
  • Participant satisfaction.

Where we stand

The pathway is being designed.
