Her story

A journey, a promise

From Tanda to Africa’s big stages, then back among her own people: the journey of a woman who decided that success only means something when it is shared.

01The roots

Tanda, where it all begins

Isabelle Boblaï Douassoh comes from the Tanda department, in Gontougo. A generous farming land, attached to its traditions, where elders’ words matter and mutual help is part of daily life. That is where her values took root.

02Building

An entrepreneur with a proven track record

For more than ten years she has led DZ Consulting, which she has developed from a communication agency into a strategic advisory firm with a regional reach. Communication, development strategy, institutional relations, major events: she has led assignments in Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Congo, Cameroon and Gabon.

03Serving

Coming back to her people

With this experience behind her, she made a choice: to put her skills at the service of her homeland. In 2025, she went out to meet the people of the Tanda department, from elders to young people, from women’s groups to association leaders, to listen before acting.

04Uniting

BDI, a movement to build together

Out of these meetings a movement was born: BDI. Its tagline says it all — “Together, let’s build Tanda”. Training young people, supporting women, modernising farming, attracting partners: everyone has a place in it.

Her commitment
“My commitment is to put all my skills at the service of my nation and of Africa, by creating economic activities that will have a meaningful impact.”
