At every stage, from harvest to sale, income can be generated in Tanda, especially for women and young people.
Our approach
Starting from what supports families
Food crops, cooperatives, women’s activities: these are the backbone of Tanda’s economy. BDI wants to act where it counts: equipping, training, organising, opening up markets.
Every action is built with the producers themselves, based on their needs.
Making beekeeping a lasting source of income for rural women in the Tanda department. First milestone reached on 8 March 2026: beekeeping kits handed over to five women’s associations.
Let's build lasting opportunities together for Gontougo.
Institutions, foundations, companies, universities, the diaspora: link your organisation to practical projects that are monitored and make a difference for local people.
